Located in Norwalk on Connecticut Avenue, the family-owned Speedy Donuts has been around since 1969 making hundreds of luscious donuts and egg sandwiches nestled in fresh rolls and pancakes. An odd-ball choice on the menu is soup, go figure, but I hear the chicken orzo rocks.
For Norwalkers, the airy, very chic French Cruller is a favorite along with the fluffy jelly stuffed and cinnamon twists.

The donut shop is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Sunday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
